Syracuse, Onondaga County Leaders Welcome Afghan Refugees in Letter to President
Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh, Onondaga County Executive J. Ryan McMahon II and other city and county elected officials recently sign a joint letter expressing their support for welcoming Afghan "allies" to a nurturing community. Their message was delivered to Pres. Joe Biden.
Agency Announces Program Merger, Expansions, Staff Changes
InterFaith Works is embarking on some of the most important developments in its 45-year history. Among the most prominent is the merger of the El-Hindi Center for Dialogue and the agency's Interfaith Initiatives division into the El-Hindi Center for Dialogue & Action. Major program expansions are underway in the Center for New Americans and Senior Services division, as well, requiring promotions and new capacity development across the agency.
