United We End Racism

United We End Racism (UWER) is a fun family event presented by the El-Hindi Center for Dialogue & Action at InterFaith Works. The event will celebrate the Racial Justice Awards and the annual Duck Race, presenting a unique community experience affirming the work being done to eliminate racism and the promotion of equal rights and justice.

Annual Racial Justice Awards
The El-Hindi Center for Dialogue & Action is now seeking nominees for the annual Racial Justice Awards. Racial Justice Award honorees will be recognized during the event.
The Racial Justice Award (Individual) is given annually to individuals whose efforts have contributed to make a change towards ending racial injustice and promoting social equity.
The Racial Justice Award (Organization) is given occasionally to organizations whose efforts have contributed to make a change towards ending racial injustice and promoting social equity.
The Catalyst Award is given occasionally for outstanding achievements towards ending racial injustice. Catalyst nominees will have demonstrated leadership in inspiring others to end racial injustice and promoting social equity.
The Lifetime Award is given occasionally for outstanding and sustained (i.e., over a career) achievement, including inspiring others, towards ending racial injustice and promoting social equity.
Nominations will be accepted through May 12.

Everyone is invited to participate in the community duck race by sponsoring their own duck for $5. Sponsoring a duck helps supporting the ongoing work of the El-Hindi Center for Dialogue & Action, which offers dialogue programs and community action to address inequities throughout the year. Additionally, if your duck wins the community duck race you have the chance to win great prizes!
