In the wake of the death of George Floyd, InterFaith Works, New York State Anchor Partner of Everyday Democracy, joined the organization's other Anchor Partners in reaffirming their shared commitment to pursue an equitable and just democracy and promised to work together for "changes that are way beyond overdue."
InterFaith Works' board of directors and Round Table of Faith Leaders expressed their distress over the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd. In their statement, the agency's leadership reaffirmed its belief that black lives matter, equal to and as important as all lives.
