Historically known as the Duck Race to End Racism, UWER invites the public to come together for a day of celebrating all the ending-racism work you have accomplished this year, with us or alongside our efforts. We want to celebrate each other and our rich, diverse community.
Sponsor UWER
United We End Racism is a large-scale mobilization of our community around the pressing issue of racial and social equity that more of us are addressing in our daily and work lives. Our event offers a chance to celebrate the entire diversity of our Central New York community and supports the ongoing racial equity work of the Center for Dialogue and Action at IFW. As a unique event in Central New York that is specifically framed around the action we are taking in our communities, UWER represents a positive sponsorship opportunity.

“Duck Race” Fun Run
Open for Kids grades K-8
Register Today for the “Duck Race” Fun Run!
Due to construction we won’t be able to have a traditional duck race in the creek, but instead we will engage students in the first ever UWER “Duck Race” Fun Run. Students will walk or run (roughly) a half-mile (.5) track along Onondaga Creekwalk, stretching from the amphitheater toward the mall, and back. With multiple start times ranging from 11am-1pm, runner gifts, community sponsorship opportunities, and chances to win prizes, this Fun Run is sure to be an exciting addition to our event.
Pre-registration is now open for classrooms or groups, or individuals.
Sponsor a Kid!
The community is invited to sponsor the “Duck Race” Fun Run! Our goal is to raise $2000 in small-gift sponsorships.
Exciting Benefit: $5=1 Prize Ticket
For Each $5 you give, you will receive 1 prize ticket to bid on gifts and prizes donated by local businesses! Must come to the event to pick up your tickets and bid. Day-of sponsorship will be available.
Youth, adults, and families of all ages will enjoy the Maker Faire at United We End Racism. Come ready to explore hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) activities all day! This effort is sponsored by Terra Maker Hall, and supports STEM engagement for under-served and underrepresented youth and communities, which aligns with the UWER mission of supporting efforts toward racial equity.
